At approximately 2:08 PM on Wednesday, April 23rd, the Wallkill Fire Department responded to a request for Mutual Aid from the Shawangunk Valley Fire Department for a reported construction vehicle fire at the Shawangunk Highway Department yard on Kings Lane off Bruyn Turnpike. Upon arrival they found a street sweeper truck with heavy fire in the engine compartment and cab. Tanker 64-12 went into operation and helped extinguish the fire with the cooperation of the Gardiner and Pine Bush Fire Departments.
